And now for something Completely Different

Here I was, planning on not blogging a fifth day straight, when I stumble across a really fun idea that I simply must do. (And it has nothing whatever to do with polish, if you can imagine that!)

I was looking through the profiles of those of you who have decided to Follow my blog (thank you!), and through that, I learned of Aquaheart, who has a fantastic makeup blog that I encourage you all to check out!

Anyway, I found a darling picture of her little girl that she posted as a result of being “picture tagged.” I thought the whole idea looked intriguing, so I decided to basically tag myself on this. So here’s the deal:

1. Open your first photo folder.

2. Scroll down to the 10th photo.

3. Post that photo and story on your blog.

By following these rules strictly, I come to a picture of me holding nail polish bottles. Surprise, surprise. It wasn’t even a particularly interesting shot. But within that folder I had a few other folders, and by opening the first of those, I found some much more promising contenders!

One of the amazing opportunities I have had in my job is to work on some of Royal Caribbean’s cruise ships. Last October I was on a cruise to Hawaii (I know, Hawaii!!!) on board the Serenade of the Seas, and I spent a lot of time in their Tropical Theater. I was utterly fascinated with their curtain, which looked strikingly (though not, perhaps, surprisingly) different depending on what color lights shone on it. This is, I believe, from my first night in there.

So that’s my photo. I will tag, if I can, the other five Followers I currently have:

And finally, some soothing music from the islands. (With advertising, but where isn’t there advertising anymore? At least it’s all visual, so you can listen in to the music while doing other things, if you like.)

  1. Wow! I love that you decided to do it! and I love the picture!! I didn't even know they were curtains until I read it :D

and I have the song playing while I'm doing other stuff ;)

    thanks! ♥

  2. that picture is so neat! at first glance I thought it was an aquarium lol.

  3. Hi, thanks for the follow! I love how you sometimes include video clips with your polish posts. :D

That's an awesome curtain too! Reminds me exactly of the ocean - very fitting for a cruise ship!

  4. Aquaheart - I loved the chance to go look at one of my pics that hasn't been shared much wider than those few who could sit through a bunch of vacation photos! And I love the music; so calming :)

Kae - It does rather look like an aquarium, doesn't it? If I can figure out how to make my pics enlargeable, this photo will be even better to look at!

Angie - You're more than welcome; I love to see different polishes than what I'm used to - even if I can't get them myself *kicks dirt*

  5. I love that picture! I'll have to make my post about whatever picture may lie in the's probably not as interesting as yours!

  6. Mary - that curtain really had me fascinated - since different colors brought out different aspects, I truly think that I took a new picture every night I went to the theater! I can't wait to see your pic - you have so many gorgeous photos, I am sure yours will be great!

  7. Pretty color curtain. I couldn't figure out what it was! Nice to be on that cruise even if it was work.

  8. The best part about cruises for me is that I get to call them "work," including those quotes. I'm not completely free to do whatever I like, but it's usually pretty laid back B)
